The Lady Garden Foundation is a national women’s health charity, raising awareness and funding for the five gynaecological cancers. We started in 2014 and initially funded ground-breaking research into the treatment of these cancers at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. Over the last ten years, the Lady Garden Foundation has grown from the initial campaign to yearly events, education programmes and funding cutting-edge studies.

Chair of Trustees
Jenny Halpern Prince, MBE, co-founded The Lady Garden Foundation in 2014, becoming Chairwoman and Trustee in 2018. She is the founder and CEO of Consumer PR & Brand Consultancy agency, Halpern, which is now part of The&Partnership, and therefore WPP. Halpern has created hugely successful campaigns for world-class brands in the agency's 31-year history.
In 2012, she founded Access Aspiration, a charity improving social mobility by providing work placements for over 15,000 London students, earning her an MBE in 2023 and the Point of Light Award from Prime Minister David Cameron.
Jenny was key in the 'Britain Stronger in Europe' campaign, creating the Women IN network to amplify women's voices. She has served on the boards of Great Ormond Street Hospital, where she launched the Save the Day initiative, and Women’s Aid, where she developed the Avon Empowering Women Awards.

Helena Morrissey, Baroness Morrissey, DBE, is a British financier, author, campaigner and keynote speaker. She founded the 30% Club, a campaign for more gender-balanced boards, and is Chair of the investment industry’s Diversity Project. She was CEO of Newton Investment Management for fifteen years and chaired the Investment Association from 2014 to 2017.
Helena now chairs several companies and campaigns including the Diversity Project. She is a Fellow (Governor) at Eton College and chairs its Endowment Committee. Helena was named one of Fortune’s World’s 50 Greatest Leaders and her first book ‘A Good Time to be a Girl, Don’t Lean In, Change the System' was described by Forbes as 'one of the five most empowering books for women' in 2018.

Dr. Annalisa Jenkins, M.B.B.S., F.R.C.P., is a biopharma thought leader with over 25 years of experience. She has extensive experience in building and financing biotech companies pursuing cures for challenging rare diseases. Annalisa has served as President and Chief Executive of Dimension Therapeutics and other leadership roles have included senior positions at Merck Serono and at Bristol Myers-Squibb.
Earlier in her career, Annalisa was a medical officer in the British Royal Navy. She is a board member of several growing companies, including Oncimmune, AVROBIO, COMPASS Pathways, AOBiome, AgeX; a medical trustee for the British Heart Foundation; a committee member of the Science Board to the US Food and Drug Administration; advisory board member at FasterCures; and Chair of Court at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

Jenniffer Emanuel is the Deputy Chief Operating Officer for Risk at UBS. Prior to that she was Chief Operating Officer for Risk at Credit Suisse and prior to joining Credit Suisse, she was Chief Operating Officer of Capula Investment Management. She spent over 14 years at Goldman Sachs and was most recently a managing director and global head of Client Experience for the Global Markets Division. During her tenure at Goldman Sachs, Jenniffer also held the role of Co-chief operating officer for the Global Markets Division and was earlier chief operating officer for the Global Markets Division in Asia Pacific.
Previously, Jenniffer was at Citi from 2004 to 2007 and began her career at Linklaters. Jenniffer earned a BSc in Chemistry from Bristol University in 1998. She attended the College of Law in London and qualified as a lawyer in 2002.

Dr Tara Swart is a neuroscientist, medical doctor, executive advisor, Senior Lecturer at MIT Sloan, and author of best-seller ‘The Source’ which has translations in 38 global territories.Tara is passionate about disseminating simple, pragmatic neuroscience-based messages that change the way people live and work. She personally advises a small number of executives and speaks at major conferences globally.
Previous residencies include Brown’s Fashion; Annabel’s, a private members’ club in Mayfair; and she was the world’s first Neuroscientist-in-Residence at the Corinthia Hotel, London. Tara was on the EFG Asset Management Future Leaders Panel 2018-19. Tara was the Chief Science Officer at Heights, Neuroscience and Psychological Advisor at To Be Magnetic and Chief Neuroscience Officer at Arowana International (Private Equity). In 2020 Tara became the Spokesperson for Aromatherapy Associates and now represents several beauty brands focusing on health, wellbeing and innovative technologies such as the probiotic Symprove.

Medical Director
John Butler, MBBS, BSc, MRCOG, is a Consultant Gynaecological Surgeon and Gynaecological Oncologist, with qualifications from St Mary’s Hospital. During his training, he developed a major interest in gynaecological cancers and complex pelvic surgery and after his specialist training, he completed his sub-specialist training in gynaecological oncology at St Bartholomew's and the Royal Marsden Hospitals.
He has published extensively on gynaecological cancer and is the lead clinician for the International Cancer Benchmarking Partnership. John also sits on the Cancer Research UK Early Diagnosis Committee and is a member of the NCIN clinical reference group. His expertise includes ultra-radical cancer surgery, fertility-preserving procedures for cervical cancer, and risk-reducing surgeries for BRCA, and vulval cancer.

Victoria Hornby, OBE, is CEO of Mental Health Innovations. From 2011 to 2017, she was Director of Programmes at The Royal Foundation, building a portfolio of projects including the Invictus Games, Coach Core, United for Wildlife and Heads Together. Before joining the Foundation, Victoria was a Senior Executive at the Sainsbury Family Trusts and CEO of an international development charity. She began her career as Field Director of an aid agency, living and working in Eastern Europe for four years.
Alongside her day jobs, Victoria is a Director of Social Finance, adviser to the Charles Dunstone Charitable Trust, and a trustee of the Westminster Foundation and the Bridges Impact Foundation. Victoria was awarded an OBE in the Queen’s New Year’s Honours List 2022 for services to the charitable sector during Covid-19.

Clare van Dam BSc in Broadcast Journalism Boston University, USA. Clare is a Molecular Hydrogen Water Distributor educating people globally about drinking Ionised restructured hydrogen Kangen water that is good for their cellular health and for the environment. Clare encourages people to have their Kangen Water machines in their homes, offices and Spas and no longer drink from plastic water bottles. Clare volunteers with Thames 21 to do river clean ups by picking up litter and plastic water bottles from the Thames River.
Clare co-founded The Lady Garden Foundation in 2014 when her Mother passed away from Endometrial Cancer. I honestly believe my Mother, like other Women in the U.K were not educated or aware of the symptoms of gynaecological cancers. We are on a mission to educate and empower women of all ages in the U.K to have their yearly gynaecological checks up, any symptoms get checked & talk openly about their Lady Gardens with their family & friends & if you have any symptoms please go and get yourselves checked out.

Jenny co-founded the Lady Garden Foundation due to her own experiences with gynae issues. At 20, she was diagnosed with pre cervical cancer cells stage 2 which she had lasered out. Jenny continues to raise awareness and break taboos around women’s health.

Tamara Beckwith Veroni has had a varied career including writing, TV presenting, and consulting for luxury brands like Gucci and Valentino. She co-owns The Little Black Gallery in London, showcasing iconic photographers like Terry O’Neill, Norman Parkinson and Duffy. Tamara is also a Contributing Editor at Hello Magazine and has written for Harpers Bazaar Australia, Esquire, GQ, and others. Her radio and TV credits include presenting for The Big Breakfast, MTV, Watchdog and This Morning.
Tamara co-founded the Lady Garden Foundation after losing her mother to gynaecological cancer. She feels strongly that awareness of gynaecological health is key, alongside raising the much-needed funds for research.

Josephine is a graduate gemologist (F.G.A; D.G.A) and the founder of Josephine Daniel Fine Jewellery. Her career spans working with Graff and Cartier before launching her own brand in 2004, specialising in bespoke high jewellery. In 2009 she designed and presented a range of silver and gem set jewellery exclusively for the QVC home shopping channel.
After losing her mother to ovarian cancer, Josephine co-founded the Lady Garden Foundation. She is passionate about educating women so that they understand their bodies and can recognise any unusual signs in the hope that problems can be caught earlier and chances of survival improved.

Chloe Delevingne is a Biomedical Science and Tumour Biology graduate from University College London. Since co-founding the Lady Garden Foundation, she has also gone on to champion women’s sexual health as well as working with other charities such as the UK Sepsis Trust and supporting the NHS. Chloe lives in Oxfordshire with her husband and two young children.
Chloe co-founded the Lady Garden Foundation after she had a cervical cancer scare of her own. She continues to break taboos and raise awareness of women’s gynae health, including having her cervical smear test live on the BBC in 2019!

Astrid Harbord started her career in PR at ADC Blueprint, a financial and property PR company. She then worked in property search for a few years before forming her own PR and Events company working with fashion and lifestyle brands. She also worked with a Political Think Tank.
Prior to becoming the Membership Director for The Birley Clubs, Astrid worked in the PR department of the Buglari Hotel, London. Astrid is also on the philanthropy board of the Royal Albert Hall and is a trustee of the George Adamson Wildlife Preservation Trust.
Astrid co-founded the Lady Garden Foundation and is very passionate about raising funds and awareness for the five gynaecological cancers.

Mika Simmons is an award-winning filmmaker, actress, and host of The Happy Vagina podcast. In 2022, she also published her book, ‘The Happy Vagina’, an entertaining, empowering guide to gynaecological and sexual wellbeing.
Mika co-founded the Lady Garden Foundation in 2013 when her friend and neighbour, Professor Susana Banerjee became the head of oncology for gynaecological cancers at The Royal Marsden and asked Mika to support a research project into better treatment of these cancers. Having lost her Mum to Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer, Mika agreed immediately but on the proviso she could also create an awareness drive for all women to know more about their health and the symptoms of these cancers.
Mika then brought together a group of phenomenal women, all of whom had a very personal relationship with gynaecological health - together they founded the Lady Garden Foundation.

Dr Stephanie Kuku is a health technology director, a senior consultant at Hardian Health and a senior adviser and consultant at the World Health Organization’s Department of Digital Health and Innovation. She completed her medical degree at University of Bristol, and was awarded a doctorate in clinical research (oncology) from University College London, where she remains an honorary senior research fellow at the Institute of Women's Health.
Stephanie is the Healthcare Lead for Women in AI and is a co-investigator on the NHSX's NHS AI Lab Artificial Intelligence and Racial and Ethnic Inequalities in Health and Care project.
Stephanie is an ambassador for the Lady Garden Foundation and is very passionate about raising awareness and encouraging women to take care of their gynaecological health.

Professor Susana Banerjee MBBS MA PhD FRCP is a Consultant Medical Oncologist and Research Lead for the Gynaecology Unit at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. She is also a Professor in Women’s Cancers at the Institute of Cancer Research. Professor Banerjee specialises in ovarian cancer and the systemic treatment of endometrial and cervical cancers.
Her research interests include individualisation of patient treatment, targeted therapies and rare gynaecological cancers and has Global and UK Chief Investigator roles of over 30 national and international clinical trials. We are proud that Professor Susana Banerjee has led several research projects funded by the Lady Garden Foundation.
